BIZCITY / LINK ANALYTICS

See What Happens Next

Short links become more useful when the activity behind them is measurable. Connect a real analytics source to review clicks, unique visitors, countries, devices, referrers and campaign movement without decorative dashboard numbers.

LIVE ANALYTICS CONNECTOR

Load only the data that actually exists.

Enter a trackable link and load its current analytics from the BizCity backend. Until a real response is received, the dashboard remains empty. For is.gd links, destination lookup and access to the provider's live statistics page are also supported.

No hard-coded traffic metrics
Enter the exact tracked URL. is.gd links can also be inspected through their public lookup API.
Production default: same-origin endpoint. The browser requests this endpoint only when you click Load Analytics.
No analytics request has been made yet.

No analytics loaded.

The page intentionally starts without clicks, visitors or chart values. Connect the production API and load a tracked link to populate this area with actual data.

HOW LINK ANALYTICS WORKS

Measure the redirect, not a guess.

Accurate link analytics begins at the redirect layer. When someone opens a tracked short link, the backend records the permitted event data before sending the visitor to the destination.

01 / CLICK

A visitor opens the tracked link.

The request reaches the link-management server rather than going directly to the destination.

02 / RECORD

The permitted event data is recorded.

The production system can record values such as time, link ID, referrer, device category and location-derived campaign information according to your privacy setup.

03 / REDIRECT

The visitor continues to the destination.

After the event is processed, the short-link service redirects the browser to the real landing page or campaign destination.

LINK ANALYTICS METRICS

Read more than a total click count.

01 / VOLUME

Total clicks

See how many recorded click events a tracked link has generated during the selected reporting period.

02 / PEOPLE

Unique visitors

Use your production attribution rules to estimate distinct visitors instead of treating every repeated click as a new person.

03 / CONTEXT

Devices & locations

Understand which device categories and geographic markets are producing link activity when that information is available and permitted.

04 / SOURCE

Referrers & campaigns

Review referrer data and UTM-tagged destinations to connect short-link activity with the channels responsible for it.

LINKS + CAMPAIGN TRACKING

Know which route brought the visitor.

UTM campaign parameters

Use source, medium, campaign, content and term parameters on the destination when your analytics stack relies on UTM attribution.

Short-link event data

Measure activity at the redirect before the visitor reaches the destination, giving the short URL its own event history.

Destination analytics

Combine short-link data with your website analytics platform for a fuller picture of what happened before and after the visitor arrived.

DATA QUALITY

A clean dashboard is only useful when the events underneath it are real.

BizCity Link Analytics is designed around an event-tracking backend rather than prefilled front-end numbers. The interface should display exactly what the analytics service returns and clearly show when no data is available.

PRODUCTION ANALYTICS FLOW

From short-link click to current reporting data.

The front end displays analytics. The real measurement happens in the production redirect, event-processing and reporting layers.

01 / LINK

Create Link

Assign the destination and unique link ID through the BizCity link-management backend.

02 / EVENT

Record Click

Capture the permitted event details when the visitor requests the tracked redirect.

03 / STORE

Process Data

Aggregate events into metrics such as totals, timelines, devices, referrers and countries.

04 / REPORT

Load Analytics

Return the current dataset through the analytics API and render exactly those values in this page.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Link Analytics FAQ.

Everything you need to know about measuring short-link activity with BizCity.

What is link analytics?

Link analytics is the measurement of activity generated through a trackable URL, including metrics such as clicks, unique visitors, devices, countries, referrers and campaign activity when those values are available.

Does this page show real analytics data?

Yes, when connected to a real analytics endpoint. The dashboard starts empty and only displays values returned by that endpoint. It does not create sample click counts or fabricated traffic data.

Why is the dashboard empty before I load a link?

An empty state prevents demonstration data from being mistaken for actual campaign performance. Metrics appear only after a successful analytics response is received.

What backend is needed for BizCity Link Analytics?

The production system needs a short-link redirect service, event storage and an analytics API. The redirect records link activity, and the API returns the aggregated data displayed by this page.

Can I inspect an is.gd short link?

Yes. The Inspect Link function can use the is.gd lookup API to retrieve the original destination. For links created with statistics logging enabled, the page also provides a button to open the provider's public statistics page.

Can I see clicks by country and device?

Yes, if the connected BizCity analytics endpoint returns those dimensions. The front end does not infer or invent country or device values.

Can link analytics work with UTM parameters?

Yes. The tracked link can redirect to a UTM-tagged destination, allowing short-link event data to complement the campaign attribution recorded by your website analytics platform.

How fresh is the data?

Data freshness depends on the production analytics pipeline. This page displays the generatedAt or updatedAt value returned by the API so the reporting timestamp comes from the real dataset.
