Acceptable Use Policy | BizCity
BIZCITY / ACCEPTABLE USE

Build Useful Links. Not Harmful Ones.

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may not create, distribute, hide, redirect to or promote through BizCity short links, QR codes, bio pages, branded domains, APIs and related services.

Effective: 18 August 2026 Applies to All BizCity Services
WHY THIS POLICY EXISTS

Short links can hide destinations. That creates responsibility.

Link shorteners, QR codes and bio pages make digital destinations easier to share. The same convenience can be abused to disguise phishing pages, malware, scams, spam or other harmful content.

BizCity expects users to use the platform lawfully, transparently and without creating unreasonable risk for visitors, other users or the service itself.

This policy is intended to operate alongside the BizCity Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Security page. Before production launch, enforcement language should be reviewed against BizCity's actual moderation systems and applicable law.
Core rule: do not use BizCity to deceive, harm, exploit or unlawfully target other people. If a destination would be unsafe or prohibited directly, putting it behind a short link or QR code does not make it acceptable.
PROHIBITED USE

Content and activity BizCity should not be used for.

01 / PHISHING

Credential theft & phishing

Do not use BizCity to impersonate trusted organizations, collect passwords, banking details, authentication codes or other sensitive information through deception.

02 / MALWARE

Malware & harmful software

Do not link to malware, ransomware, spyware, exploit kits, malicious downloads or code intended to compromise devices, accounts or networks.

03 / FRAUD

Scams, fraud & impersonation

Do not use short links or QR codes to support scams, fake offers, deceptive payments, identity impersonation or other fraudulent activity.

04 / SPAM

Spam & abusive distribution

Do not use BizCity to support unsolicited bulk messaging, abusive automation, misleading campaigns or distribution designed to evade anti-spam controls.

05 / EXPLOITATION

Exploitation & serious harm

BizCity must not be used to facilitate child sexual exploitation, human trafficking, non-consensual intimate material, credible threats or other forms of serious abuse.

06 / ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

Illegal goods, services or conduct

Do not use BizCity to facilitate transactions or activities that are unlawful in the applicable jurisdiction, including prohibited goods, services or criminal activity.

07 / PRIVACY

Doxxing & privacy violations

Do not publish or distribute private personal information without authorization, encourage harassment, or use BizCity to facilitate stalking or targeted abuse.

08 / RIGHTS

Intellectual-property abuse

Do not use BizCity to knowingly distribute content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other rights where you do not have authorization or a lawful basis.

01 / SCOPE

Where this policy applies.

This policy applies to BizCity accounts, short links, branded links, QR codes, bio pages, custom domains, APIs, campaign tools and other services provided by BizCity.

It applies to content you create directly as well as destinations, redirects, files, pages or services you promote through BizCity.

02 / LAWFUL USE

Use BizCity only for lawful purposes.

You may not use BizCity to create, promote, facilitate or conceal unlawful activity. You are responsible for understanding the laws and regulations that apply to your content, business, campaign and target audience.

If a particular activity is regulated, restricted or unlawful where you operate, BizCity does not make that activity lawful merely by providing a link or QR code.

03 / DECEPTION

No phishing, fraud or deceptive impersonation.

You must not use BizCity to:

  • Impersonate banks, brands, employers, government bodies or other people or organizations for deceptive purposes.
  • Collect credentials, one-time passwords, banking data or sensitive information through fraudulent pages.
  • Misrepresent the destination or purpose of a link in a way intended to deceive visitors.
  • Operate fake giveaways, payment scams, investment scams or other fraudulent schemes.
  • Hide the true destination of a malicious or deceptive page behind a short link or QR code.
04 / SECURITY ABUSE

No malware, exploits or unauthorized access.

You must not use BizCity to distribute or facilitate:

  • Malware, ransomware, spyware or malicious scripts.
  • Credential-stealing tools or malicious browser extensions.
  • Exploits designed to compromise devices, applications or networks.
  • Unauthorized access, account takeover or security-control bypass.
  • Instructions or infrastructure primarily intended to facilitate active abuse of third-party systems.
05 / SPAM

No spam or abusive automation.

BizCity may be used in legitimate marketing campaigns, but not for abusive distribution.

You must not:

  • Use BizCity in unsolicited bulk messaging campaigns that violate applicable anti-spam rules.
  • Automate link creation or requests in a way that bypasses published API or plan limits.
  • Create large numbers of disposable links to evade moderation, blocking or rate limits.
  • Use misleading link text, fake urgency or deceptive campaign practices intended to manipulate recipients.
06 / HARM

No content facilitating serious harm or exploitation.

BizCity must not be used to facilitate child sexual exploitation, trafficking, credible threats of violence, non-consensual intimate material or other serious abuse.

BizCity may also restrict links or accounts where there is a reasonable and documented safety risk to users or the public.

07 / RIGHTS

Respect privacy and intellectual-property rights.

Do not use BizCity to unlawfully publish private personal information, facilitate harassment, or knowingly distribute infringing material.

If you believe a BizCity link infringes your rights, use the Support page and provide enough information for the report to be reviewed.

08 / DOMAINS

No branded-domain impersonation or DNS misuse.

Only connect domains you own or are authorized to manage. Do not use a branded domain to mislead visitors into believing a link is operated or endorsed by another organization.

BizCity may require DNS or ownership verification before activating custom-domain functionality.

09 / PLATFORM ABUSE

Do not attack or bypass BizCity itself.

You must not attempt to:

  • Bypass free or paid usage limits.
  • Evade account suspension or moderation decisions using new accounts, aliases or domains.
  • Reverse engineer or interfere with protected platform functionality except where permitted by law.
  • Probe or exploit BizCity systems without authorization.
  • Overload the service through abusive requests, bots or denial-of-service activity.
  • Use automated methods that violate API limits or published technical rules.
Browser-side limits are not permissions: the ability to alter local storage or client-side code does not authorize bypassing BizCity plan limits or production access controls.
10 / ENFORCEMENT

How BizCity may respond to violations.

Depending on the severity, evidence and risk involved, BizCity may investigate reports and take proportionate action.

Possible actions may include:

  • Warning the account owner.
  • Disabling or redirect-blocking a specific short link or QR destination.
  • Removing content or disabling a bio page.
  • Restricting a branded domain.
  • Temporarily limiting account functionality.
  • Suspending or terminating an account.
  • Preserving relevant records where required for investigation or legal compliance.
  • Responding to valid legal requests or reporting activity where legally required.
11 / REPORTING

Report harmful or abusive BizCity links.

If you encounter a BizCity short link, QR code, bio page or branded link that appears to violate this policy, report it through BizCity Support.

Include:

  • The exact short link, QR destination, bio page or domain.
  • A short description of the suspected violation.
  • Relevant screenshots or evidence where appropriate.
  • Your contact information if follow-up is needed.

Do not include passwords, payment credentials, private keys or unnecessary personal information.

12 / APPEALS

What if content was restricted by mistake?

If you believe BizCity incorrectly restricted your link, QR code, page, domain or account, contact Support with the affected asset and explain why you believe it complies with this policy.

BizCity may review available evidence and restore access where the restriction was made in error or the underlying issue has been resolved.

13 / CHANGES

Changes to this policy.

BizCity may update this Acceptable Use Policy as product features, abuse patterns, legal requirements or safety practices change.

The effective date should be updated when material revisions are published.

TECHNICAL MISUSE

Do not turn the platform into an attack surface.

Acceptable use applies to APIs, redirects, DNS verification and account features as well as the content behind links.

01 / RATE LIMITS

No bypassing limits

Do not rotate accounts, browsers, IPs or domains to evade published usage or rate limits.

02 / API

No abusive automation

Use APIs within documented limits and do not automate behavior that creates unreasonable load or abuse.

03 / REDIRECTS

No redirect deception

Do not chain redirects primarily to conceal malicious destinations or evade security review.

04 / ACCOUNTS

No suspension evasion

Do not create replacement accounts or assets for the purpose of bypassing a valid enforcement action.

05 / DOMAINS

No unauthorized domains

Do not attempt to connect domains you do not own or control.

06 / SECURITY

No unauthorized testing

Do not probe, exploit or disrupt BizCity infrastructure without explicit authorization.

ENFORCEMENT PRINCIPLE

Protect visitors first, then review the context.

Immediate risk

A link or QR destination presenting an urgent security or safety risk may be disabled while the issue is reviewed.

Account-level patterns

Repeated or systematic violations may lead to broader account restrictions rather than action on only one individual link.

False positives

Users should have a practical way to request review where legitimate content is restricted incorrectly.

Legal obligations

BizCity may preserve or disclose information when required by valid legal process or applicable law.

ACCEPTABLE USE FAQ

Can I use BizCity for marketing campaigns?
Yes, legitimate marketing use is allowed. Campaigns must not rely on phishing, fraud, unlawful spam, impersonation or other activity prohibited by this policy.
Can BizCity be used to shorten any destination?
No. A destination that is unlawful, malicious, fraudulent or otherwise prohibited does not become acceptable because it is placed behind a short link or QR code.
What happens if a link is reported as phishing or malware?
BizCity may review the report and may disable the affected link or restrict the related account where necessary to protect users while the issue is investigated.
Can I use multiple accounts to bypass free limits?
No. Creating accounts or using technical workarounds primarily to evade usage limits, rate limits or enforcement actions is prohibited.
Can I connect any branded domain?
No. You should only connect a domain you own or are authorized to manage, and BizCity may require DNS or ownership verification.
How do I report an abusive BizCity link?
Use BizCity Support and include the exact link or domain, a description of the issue and relevant evidence.
What if my legitimate link was blocked by mistake?
Contact Support with the affected link or account and explain why you believe the content complies with this policy so the decision can be reviewed.
Can BizCity suspend an entire account?
Yes. Repeated, systematic or serious violations may result in account-level restrictions or termination rather than action on only one individual link.
