BIZCITY / COOKIE POLICY

Small Files. Clear Purpose.

This Cookie Policy explains how BizCity may use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies to keep sessions working, remember preferences, protect accounts, operate tools and understand service usage.

Effective: 18 August 2026 Applies to BizCity Services
WHAT THIS MEANS

Cookies should support the product, not hide what the product is doing.

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser. BizCity may also use local storage or similar browser technologies for preferences, tool state, sessions, limited free usage and other functional purposes.

The exact cookies used in production may change as BizCity's account, analytics, payment and security systems evolve. This policy should remain aligned with the technologies actually deployed.

COOKIE CATEGORIES

Different technologies serve different purposes.

01 / STRICTLY NECESSARY

Essential operation

These technologies may support login sessions, security, request integrity, account access and other functions necessary for the service to operate.

02 / FUNCTIONAL

Preferences & tool state

Functional storage may remember interface preferences, saved builder content, form state or other choices that make BizCity easier to use.

03 / ANALYTICS

Service measurement

Analytics technologies may help BizCity understand how its own website and tools are used. They are separate from the tracked link and QR event data generated by redirect services.

04 / THIRD-PARTY

External providers

Third-party services such as payment, security or embedded service providers may set their own cookies when their pages or components are used.

01 / COOKIES

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text values stored by a browser when you visit a website. They can be used for temporary sessions, remembering preferences, security controls, analytics or other website functions.

Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage or other browser-based storage mechanisms.

02 / PURPOSE

How BizCity may use cookies and similar technologies.

BizCity may use them to:

  • Keep authenticated sessions active.
  • Protect login and account-related workflows.
  • Remember user preferences.
  • Save temporary tool or builder state.
  • Remember free-tool usage in browser-only versions.
  • Measure website or product usage where permitted.
  • Support payment-provider or third-party integrations.
  • Prevent abuse or improve service reliability.
03 / BROWSER STORAGE

Local storage and browser-only tools.

Some BizCity front-end tools may use local storage to remember draft content, preferences or limited free usage on the current browser.

Local storage is stored in the user's browser and may remain until the site or user removes it. Clearing browser data, changing browsers or using another device may remove or bypass browser-only state.

Important: browser storage is not a secure replacement for server-side subscription, entitlement or account-limit enforcement. Production paid limits should be controlled by the BizCity backend.
04 / ANALYTICS

Website analytics vs link analytics.

BizCity website analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to understand how visitors use BizCity pages where permitted.

Link and dynamic QR analytics are different. Those metrics are intended to come from real redirect or scan events processed through BizCity tracking infrastructure and do not need to be fabricated from browser cookies.

05 / PAYMENTS

Payment-provider cookies.

When you continue from BizCity to a payment provider such as PayPal, that provider may set cookies or use similar technologies under its own policies.

BizCity does not control cookies placed directly by a third-party payment page.

06 / THIRD PARTIES

Third-party technologies.

BizCity may use external providers for hosting, security, payments, analytics, support or other operational services. Some providers may place cookies or similar technologies when their services are used.

Third-party providers are responsible for their own cookie and privacy practices.

07 / RETENTION

How long cookies and storage may remain.

Some technologies may last only for the current browser session, while others may remain for a longer period so preferences or tool state can be remembered.

Retention should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and should be reviewed as the production platform changes.

08 / YOUR CHOICES

How you can control cookies.

Most browsers allow users to block, remove or limit cookies and site storage through browser settings.

Disabling strictly necessary storage may affect login sessions, preferences or other service functionality.

Where BizCity provides a cookie-preference panel, you may use it to manage optional cookie categories.

09 / CHANGES

Changes to this Cookie Policy.

BizCity may update this policy when its technology, providers, consent requirements or cookie practices change.

The effective date should be updated when material changes are published.

10 / CONTACT

Questions about cookies or privacy?

Use Contact BizCity for general questions or Support for account or product-related issues.

EXAMPLE STORAGE CATEGORIES

What may be stored and why.

This table describes common BizCity storage purposes. The final production cookie inventory should list the exact cookie or storage names actually used.

YOUR CONTROLS

You should be able to make informed choices.

Browser settings

Use your browser controls to review, block or delete cookies and stored site data.

Clear local storage

Clearing site data may remove drafts, free-tool counters or preferences stored only in the browser.

Optional consent

Where legally required, non-essential analytics or similar technologies should not be activated before valid consent is obtained.

Account functionality

Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login or other account functions from working correctly.
