BIZCITY / PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Should Be Understandable.

This Privacy Policy explains what information BizCity may collect, why it may be used, how it may be shared, and the choices available to users of BizCity websites, short links, QR codes, bio pages, analytics and support services.

Effective: 18 August 2026 Applies to BizCity Services
BEFORE YOU READ

A practical policy for a link-management platform.

BizCity provides tools for creating and managing short links, branded URLs, QR codes, bio pages and related analytics. Different features may process different types of information depending on how the service is used.

This policy is written to describe the intended BizCity privacy model. Actual production practices, data processors, retention periods and legal obligations should be kept aligned with the systems that are deployed.

01 / SCOPE

Where this policy applies.

This Privacy Policy applies to BizCity websites, hosted tools, account services, short-link and QR functionality, bio pages, analytics interfaces, support requests and related services that link to this policy.

It does not automatically apply to third-party websites or services that users reach through a BizCity short link, QR code, bio page or external integration. Those third parties may have their own privacy practices.

02 / INFORMATION

Information BizCity may collect.

Account information

If account features are enabled, BizCity may collect information such as name, email address, account identifiers, login-related information, plan details and account preferences.

Content and configuration data

Depending on the feature, users may provide destination URLs, short-link aliases, QR content, branded-domain settings, bio-page profile details, social links, campaign parameters and other information needed to create or manage an asset.

Usage and event data

BizCity may process technical and event information associated with the use of links, QR codes, pages or APIs. This can include timestamps, browser or device characteristics, referring source, campaign parameters and approximate geographic information where available.

Support information

If you contact Support, BizCity may receive your name, email address, affected URL, issue category, account or payment reference and the content of your support request.

Payment-related references

BizCity may receive or store payment or transaction references needed to confirm a purchase or account entitlement. Payment credentials such as PayPal passwords or full card numbers should not be collected through BizCity forms.

03 / USE

How information may be used.

BizCity may use information to:

  • Create, operate and maintain short links, QR codes, bio pages and related account features.
  • Authenticate users and protect account access.
  • Resolve and redirect short links and dynamic QR destinations.
  • Provide analytics and campaign reporting from actual tracked events.
  • Verify branded-domain ownership or DNS configuration.
  • Enforce free and paid plan limits.
  • Process or verify billing and payment status.
  • Respond to support, security and abuse reports.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, phishing, malware, spam or other prohibited activity.
  • Improve service reliability, usability and performance.
  • Comply with lawful obligations where applicable.
04 / ANALYTICS

Short-link and QR analytics.

When analytics are enabled, a tracked short link or dynamic QR may route through BizCity infrastructure before the visitor is sent to the final destination. This allows BizCity to record a real event associated with the interaction.

Depending on configuration, analytics may include:

  • Total clicks or scans.
  • Approximate unique visitors or scanners.
  • Country or region-level information where available.
  • Device class, browser and operating system.
  • Referrer or referring website.
  • Campaign or UTM parameters.
  • Event timestamps and trend information.

BizCity's intended approach is to minimize unnecessary personal information. Where technically appropriate, privacy-preserving identifiers may be derived from request data instead of storing raw network identifiers for longer than necessary.

No fabricated analytics: if real tracking data is unavailable, BizCity should not generate fake clicks, scans, countries, devices or other metrics to fill the interface.
05 / COOKIES

Cookies and similar technologies.

BizCity may use cookies, browser storage or similar technologies for login sessions, preferences, security, feature operation, usage limits or analytics where appropriate.

Some free front-end tools may use local browser storage to remember tool state or limited usage. Browser storage alone should not be treated as a secure replacement for server-side account or entitlement controls.

For more information about categories of cookies and controls, see the Cookie Policy.

06 / PAYMENTS

Payments and PayPal.

BizCity may direct customers to a third-party payment provider such as PayPal to complete payment. Payment credentials are handled by the payment provider rather than entered directly into BizCity's website.

BizCity may receive or process information such as the selected plan, payment amount, transaction reference, subscription reference or payment status where needed to verify access to paid features.

Users should never send PayPal passwords, full payment-card details, security codes or other sensitive payment credentials through BizCity support forms.

07 / SHARING

Service providers and third parties.

BizCity may use third-party providers to support hosting, infrastructure, payments, email, security, analytics, customer support or other operational functions.

Information should only be shared with service providers to the extent reasonably necessary for them to perform the service they provide to BizCity, subject to their own agreements and legal obligations.

BizCity may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, protect the rights or safety of users, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce applicable terms and policies.

08 / RETENTION

How long information may be kept.

Retention depends on the type of information, the feature being used, account status, contractual needs, security requirements and applicable legal obligations.

For example, account data may be retained while an account is active, analytics data may follow the retention period of the selected plan, and support or billing records may be kept for operational or legal reasons.

BizCity should delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to technical, contractual and legal requirements.

09 / SECURITY

Protecting information.

BizCity's security approach is intended to include authentication, authorization, request validation, rate limiting, HTTPS, protected server-side secrets, operational logging and appropriate access controls.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect account credentials, avoid sharing sensitive information through public links, and report suspected security issues through the Support page.

More information about BizCity's security approach is available on the Security page.

10 / RIGHTS

Your choices and privacy requests.

Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or other handling of personal information.

You may also be able to manage certain preferences directly through your account or browser settings.

To submit a privacy request, use the Contact or Support page and clearly identify the nature of your request. BizCity may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.

11 / CHILDREN

Children's privacy.

BizCity is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis would be required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to BizCity inappropriately, contact Support so the matter can be reviewed.

12 / INTERNATIONAL

International users and data locations.

BizCity may be accessed from different countries. Depending on the infrastructure and service providers used, information may be processed in countries other than the user's own.

Where required, BizCity should use appropriate contractual, technical or organizational measures for international data handling.

13 / CHANGES

Changes to this Privacy Policy.

BizCity may update this Privacy Policy as the service, infrastructure, legal requirements or data practices change.

When material changes are made, the effective date should be updated and additional notice may be provided where appropriate.
